Keeping Engineering Costs Down
Metallic and magnetic materials are essential in all forms of engineering but can often be costly components and in business it’s all about keeping costs down and profits up so a great deal of complex research is carried out into materials and their production.
Soft magnetic materials, for example, are now beginning to take the place of wrought materials and perform at least as well, if not better. A unique form of powder metallurgy is used and the results are metals of ultra high density. There are no more limitations to this powdered form of metal than with wrought metals. Holes and flow grooves can also be incorporated into the finished product, whilst it is being formed.
Once the required piece is made, it then becomes subject to other high tech systems that will grind and deburr to perfection. Follow this up with specialised magentic testing and you can be sure of a set of high quality components and a reduced cost.
